We had the great pleasure of recording these sweet voices on a new song for our next album at Bill Whelan’s beautiful studio in Galway, Ireland last month.
We are in full production on three new songs for the next AOMUSIC album, due out in early 2013… Our first stop was County Galway, Ireland where we recorded a brilliant group of children with one of today’s great composers Bill Whelan… We recorded the children in Bill’s studio on Ireland’s Western Coast.. They will be featured on the next AOMUSICalbum with other children‘s choral ensembles from around the globe… The Irish music tradition is ever-present on AOMUSIC‘s palette of world homogeny, and Bill Whelan‘s involvement now brings greater authenticity to that lovely hue…
Ireland is steeped in poignant history and mystic lore, and making music on her soil with her children and one of her most gifted maestros is a great honor for AOMUSIC.
We are finally beginning to manifest AO Foundation International. We are building the website and mounting a team to make this a reality. Once we receive our non-profit certification, we’ll begin obtaining donations from philanthropists around the globe. Currently, Arcturian Gate donates 10% of its revenues from MP3 downloads to children of Haiti, orphaned by the hurricane. As we grow, we will be a one-stop resource for many of the GlobalGiving charities – particularly campaigns with initiatives for orphaned children of natural disasters. This is our first step toward something quite wonderful! Never underestimate the power of music!
Doug Lunn's reputation as a great bass player speaks for itself, and AOMUSIC is proud to have him as a contributor… His anticipated new album "The Doug Lunn Project" will be available to the world next month… AOMUSIC percussionist, George Bernardo also performs on the CD… We've heard several of the songs while they were in production last year, and can attest that this album is truly something special…
Andy is a regular contributing artist on all AOMUSIC albums and this is a beautiful piece he wrote and performed all tracks… The sketches in the video are also his creations… Quite a rare talent, and we are proud to have Andy as a colleague and comrade…
